The site Comic Book Resources has a 3/24/2018 article by Jordan Commandeur called "Pacific Rim Uprising Has a Gundam Easter Egg". For those that not have seen the new "Pacific Rim" film, they show a giant RX-78-2 Gundam statue outside of a building. Look for it sometime during the final fight with the big bad alien.
