The fact some of these shows premiere their simuldub by the time their subbed versions will have the 3rd or 4th epi. is curious. It is similar to how Funi originally did their simuldub streams. The trend of premiering a simuldub epi. 2 weeks after the counterpart epi. premiered started in Fall 2016.

I really should renew my Funi account so I can check out the Steins;Gate 0 dub when it comes out.

I hope we get the cast list for FMP soon, being in the same state I really hope they get as many VAs from the old ADV dub back as possible, it would be hard to switch to dub after 50 episodes.

It's probably because they got 5 shows still continuing from last season.

wow...
No down time between the end of Yamato 2199 & the start of 2202.
I don't recall but were either of the actual 2199 films gonna get dubbed?

I noticed that too. Perhaps, same-day dubbing (or what I like to call instadubbing) takes a lot out of them.
I think 2-week simuldubs started a season earlier. Not that it matters, though.

I would guess that has a lot to do with it, plus two of new shows are same-day so they probably have their hands full scheduling things as is.

"Clear Card", DiTF, "Katana Maidens", and "Black Clover" are all going to be time-consuming as they are 2 cour or higher. If Funi didn't perform so many simuldubs a season (like 5 max for debuting shows), that's one thing that might have given "DxD Hero" a simuldub sooner.

Are you really complaining about having to wait just a little bit longer?

It still saddens me that we aren't getting simuldubs for megalo box as well as Hisone to Maso-tan

Hell I would have been willing to wait 6 weeks if it meant more simuldubs.

If the dub episode premieres once the 3rd subtitled episode premieres, that means it's 2 weeks behind, which is what they've been doing since Summer 2016.

Blame Netflix for the latter as Netflix USA likes the binge-watching approach. The former could get dubbed for the summer season. In Fall 2016, "91 Days" got a weekly simulcast, despite it debuting the prev. summer.

I feel like Tessa and Kurz are going to get new VA's (unless Funimation makes a deal with sentai to use their recording studio I guess) because Hilary Haag only works for sentai and Vic Mignogna moved to LA ages ago
