For some reason this reminded me of Cannibal Corpse's singer's WOW tirade from back in the day.

Seems like poor planning to "expect silence" during a Q&A session and not have considered contingencies if someone doesn't stay silent. That said, getting upset when things don't go your way is also a pretty unprofessional response. Assuming things went as described in the article, I would be pretty disappointed if a celebrity I admired acted in this manner.

I personally don't blame Kamiya for getting angry if he did. People who post spoiler and do it for fun are trolls.

Not surprised, but very disappointed that the general public reaction was "yeah, that girl is to blame". How tf is the audience supposed to know what you're going for instinctively when you try to do interactions?

Have to agree, it is a question and answer session. He asked the question, and she (the victim) answered truthfully. Sounds more like the voice actor was the one doing the trolling.

People who post spoilers without being asked or without spoiler tags/warnings deserve any animosity they get for being a**holes anyway though. I don't see a problem.

Maybe she was just screwing around and raising her hand because she knew the expectation was for no one to raise their hands. This wasn't a security check for bombs, it was a celebrity question and answer, she probably thought it would be funny and elicit a funny reaction. Clearly, she now knows better than to have fun in public anymore. |

I don't get that part. Wouldn't the "natural" thing to do for him be to react to the first response with a (half-) joking "Hey, stop doing that!" and then just move on to the next thing? |

I was at this event and in the third row of the arena during the day that this happened.
Yeah, the fan was stupid. Basically Kamiya (or rather HIRO-C), when explaining that they don't want people posting spoilers to social media because they were doing the event again the next day, asked the audience... HIRO-C: Female gasoline who understand? (分かってるメスガソリン?) Female audience: Yeeeeeeeees! (はーい!) HIRO-C: Male gasoline who understand? (分かってるオスガソリン?) Male audience: Yeeeeeees! (はーい) HIRO-C: Female gasoline who don't understand? (分かってないメスガソリン?) A few female audience members: Yeeeeees! (はーい) (MOB has some Mad Max references so they refer to their fans as "gasoline.") This went on a couple times and was funny at first with Kamiya and OnoD jokingly responding, "Hey, we'll kill you! (おい、殺すぞ)" The third time Kamiya made it quite clear that he didn't want anyone responding when asking who doesn't understand, explaining that this was going to be the last time he goes through this call and response and jokingly said that if someone responds next, they won't be doing the event the next day. Well, there was one girl who responded. Kamiya dropped his mic and proceeded to head off stage until the other members pulled him back and tried to calm him down. He then said, "The person who responded just now is not a fan!" Yeah, pretty tense moment. The fan was oblivious (kuuki yomenai), and due to their actions it kind of put a black cloud over the rest of the event. (Thank God it happened near the end!) I saw a tweet from someone who sat near the girl in question and they said that the girl was unfazed and continued to wave their pen light during the next song as if nothing happened. I don't blame Kamiya at all for getting upset. This is just one of those cases where someone either wanted to stand out and/or was just stupidly clueless.
No, I think they just wanted to stand out. |

If you think a rando audience member "standing out" is worse than throwing a fit on your own stage... then you fit right in over there, I guess.

Well, I would be a bit frustrated too if I were basically telling someone to be quiet and they ignored me, yet claimed to be a fan. Of course it wasn't in best form of Kamiya to get visibly upset on stage like that, but it wasn't without a cause. |

Seriously. It wasn't even a question and answer session. It was a call and response, and the audience knew what the desired response was. Like, if a singer calls on the audience to sing a part of the song, they're expected to sing the correct lyrics for that particular song. In this situation, it was as if one person decided to sing something entirely different than what was expected, and because of that one person's actions, it messed everything up. |

I like the guy but he can't act this way. he is getting paid to keep his shit together during these events. It's not like she took a dump in the middle of the stage or something! |

All right, I kind of understand what happened and yeah, the fan was pretty disruptive. I just kind of think of it like, if you're a cashier and a customer gets unreasonably upset over something, if you get mad and lash out, you shouldn't be surprised if you get fired. Obviously different in the celebrity/idol world, but still, it's pretty unprofessional. |
