Real shame the film didn't even premiere in the top ten. Given the popularity of the series its based on and the success of Yamada's last film, you'd think it would have fared much better. I assume the biggest issue was a very limited theatrical release, as I recall A Silent Voice not having the widest presence either, despite its popularity. Well it looks beautiful to me, I'd expect no less from this extremely talented dream team of a staff. Hopefully it doesn't take too long to come overseas and hopefully get a decent theatrical run.
