I'm usually an upbeat...."try to see the positive in everything".... type of person, but I totally agree with these sentiments. The digi-destined were made out to be a bunch of sniveling crybabies.... with the new female protagonist being the worst. However, crazy as it may be, I'm a fan of the franchise and want to support it so I've purchased the Blurays. Maybe one day when I have kids they'll enjoy it. 
I'm hoping whatever they have in store will be an improvement. |

I bet it's more stuff pretending as if Appmon never existed. Thanks TOEI, taking for granted hard work to cling in lame sequels of nostalgia because easy money. Quantity over quality for their eyeballs like the world itself, it's sad.
I had a bad time to be forced to watch Tri because con sales. The things I have to draw against my will for survival 
I feel bad for the Adventure fans for having this lazy sequel. They were just better off without that. Appmon is the only thing from Digimon franchise I genuinely love. Adventures and Tamers never got my fancy. Judge me if you want :3 And I'm fully aware it will never happen again but as it had a perfect ending I honestly don't want TOEI to ruin that. But fading it to oblivion is undeserved. |

YES!!! Also, I'd like to see if Takato and Jeri (or Juri if you prefer the undubbed version's name) actually become a canon couple. It's been my OTP since the D-Reaper arc. |

Maybe a sequel to Tri, as a fan of the original Adventure series, having an actual sequel made me so happy. I love Tri.

This sounds good. If this take place after Tri, I hope Meiko and Meicomon is still there, I like them. And I don't care what people say about them or Tri, I think it's really good and I think every Digimon fan should watch it.

It's really weird Toei doesn't constantly reference a recent failure in material aimed at a different demographic.

Go back to Adventure 2 and retcon the final episode and start from there?

I wouldn't mind if this upcoming project has a retcon ending for "Adventure 02" where Tai/Sora becomes canon. Yes, I am aware a lot of the Tai/Sora shipping moments were in the Eng. dub. However, that's not to say the Japanese version were totally absent of it.

I’m very...Forgiving of Tri. Count me as one of the people who love it for the nostalgia even though the narrative is a convoluted mess of wasted potential. Honestly, I just want more Digimon. So bring it Toei- I’m trusting you!
I mean there was a recently released drama CD called Digimon Tamers 2018 that already builds a potential set up for a sequel spoiler[because apparently Takato went missing. ] Don’t count me on that cause I’m just going by someone else’s word since there’s no official translation yet. But the Drama CD is a thing and I’m hoping it’s hinting at it. Tamers is my favorite season story-wise and if they can get the original writing crew back to work on a sequel, I’ll be ecstatic.
I mean I’ve heard that even fans in Japan (and some of the Seiyuus) were thrown off guard by Sora/Matt. Heck, even the director of the Our War Game, Mamoru Hosoda, missed the memo hence why Tai/Sora was emphasized so much. It’s cause the original director of Adventure wanted Sora/Matt and tried to make it subtle as possible. So you can’t blame the dub on the mixed reaction: there was just too much miscommunication among the dev team. I’ve heard that they don’t do anything to really address Tai/Sora/Matt in Tri and I’m kind of glad they don’t cause the shipping wars have lasted for so long I doubt making either one canon in the movies is worth the fan reaction. |
