Ill be honest I will take anything Touhou related I can get, but what is stopping the actual games from being released? There are like 15 of them. Hell you could probably even do like one ps4 disc that has most of them on their since they arent that size intensive. Id buy that.

To my understanding, it's mostly the fact that ZUN likes to do everything himself so he doesn't want to put other people in charge of porting them. This is also why there aren't any official translations.

Adding to what Arale Kurashiki has said, Hidden Star in Four Seasons is on Steam. It's probably the easiest legal way to play a core Touhou game without importing physical copies from Japan. I guess time will tell if any of the previous games will show up there later.
