They're probably counting on people buying it anyway because, it's anime! It's hentai! Because moaning and nipples don't need translating!

Since most fans of hentai want to see uncensored video and some resemblance of a translation, I don't think that company will get far with their approach. Call it a hunch.

What is the point of selling untranslated DVDs? Are they just doing it for the super-purists? Evil or Very Mad

I'd imagine it's they don't have to pay translators, editors, timers, or anybody else who would have had something to do with putting the English language into those DVDs. Hooray for low overhead?

Not like it's difficult to understand "moto moto" or anything.

It would certainly be interesting to know how successful these DVDs fared. =)

He meant "Motto Motto". Which basically means "More, More!"

I second that remark... sure, it's porn, but I'm sure at least some people want to know what's being said...

This isn't even for the superpurists. I mean, why would a superpurist want censored video?

I'm disappointed they translated the titles. And most likely made them Region 1. How very unoriginal of them.

You mean you guys still hadn't realized yet that it was some fly-by-night company trying to take advantage of you?

Look through sites like XonAir and XAVDream. Where are these titles now? Rolling Eyes

I wouldn't even say purist. I'd say it's aimed at those few people who speak Japanese in an English speaking country. These people are definitely lacking common business sense. Rolling Eyes
