It's a long shot, but I hope Princess Principal gets a good UK dub to make it really authentic. Though it would probably be more economical for the regular Sentai dub VAs doing British accents. It would be a real bummer if they don't bother with the accents at all.

I look forward to the Principal Principal English dub. I hope Sentai takes this dub very seriously. My dream English dub cast is Emily Neves as Ange, Luci Christian as Princess, Maggie Flecknoe as Dorothy, Monica Rial as Beatrice and Brittney Karbowski as Chise.

And I have zero desire to listen to an English dub with British accents. I mean I already watched the show in Japanese and had no problem getting immersed in it. I hope for a dub with U.S. accents.

I'm not big into the idea of English Accents(there isn't really any such things a British accent), aside from Hellsing, they usually always have Americans doing the voices, and if this does end up having Monica Rial, then I really do not want English accents. I've already heard a Japanese VA talk about west country accents, so my level of disbelief for this show can not get any further than that.

I still have to finish this series. This one is right up my alley.

Either authentic British or don't bother with accents with me. Absolutely bothers me when American dub actors do British accents because I can tell straightaway it isn't authentic I'm glad FUNi stopped doing it for recent dubbed shows like Magus Bride, Gosick.

That said I hope Sentai mix things up been hearing some of the same people a lot lately it seems.

Great! It would have been a missed opportunity if this series wasn’t getting a dub. Accents or not, I look forward to seeing who they cast and I hope that it sells well so that Sentai can feel an incentive to grab the sequel movies and dub those too.

Totally getting the Premium version. As for the dub well I'll give a chance but Sentai Dubs have been mostly miss lately. Flip Flappers being the most recent I heard wasn't good despite some good talent behind it; just none felt right in their roles. Still I did like the Umaru-chan dub.

I agree that the dub for Flip Flappers was on the weaker side. But I disagree that Sentai dubs have been mostly miss lately. The dub for Ushio and Tora is solid, and the one for Flying Witch is surprisingly very strong. Sentai was a mess with dubs 5 years ago, but they have really improved the last 2 years.

I would like a real English accent dub too. It is after all set in London. But I don't think except they'll go to the extra expense of using real British actors, so I'd rather not. It would still be nice though and something I wish all dubs would do for settings or characters from other English speaking countries.

Of course Sentai will dub in house and most likely not have accents because they require time & effort. Which I'm fine with for this show. Accents in dubs are very rare these days. I thought it worked great in Black Butler I guess because that show is actually pretty over the top so exaggerated voices didn't sound off for those characters but certain shows like Princess Principal have a more serious tone that is best playing it straight forward.

I never watch dubs, but will break tradition if they do this right.

Given how this is an England-set show, accents would make sense. As darkchibi07, it is unlikely Sentai FIlmworks will outsource to the UK.

I suppose if a publisher in the UK, possibly Anime Limited, had released this show and done a dub, then Sentai would of most likely used that instead of making their own. If it had If it had gone to a company like Aniplex, one with big pockets, then maybe they would of seen fit to use actors from the UK or use a studio there.

Maid-sama dub remains imo their best work to date. Didn't have a single problem with that dub. Their harems dub of late > FUNi/CR too (the Sister New Devil dub was awful imo).

Sentai's dub of Chivalry of a Failed Knight is really solid too. There are a few minor flaws, but I'm pretty sure I'd be hugely nitpicking.
