From the costume, it looks like Mukunoki-sensei is a parody of Kinpachi-sensei, the Tetsuya Takeda vehicle about an idealist teacher.

This is nice and all, but I'd much rather see the OVAs come out on some format other than ancient Japanese rental tapes.
