Just another day in Japan. I do not know what is up with the ridiculous pose but this is a nice meme with nice pictures.

Yeah. It is like Umi is trying to get her hand under Honoka's skirt. Lewd picture is probably why ANN used it as the thumbnail for this article. Cool

Somehow, it doesn't even seem weird in the context of K-On.

Interesting, I had to google it (art is not my forte) but I can definitely see the inspiration for it.

It still looks ridiculous, though it works for the Jojo one...

Fans figured that out, yet its context within the show still remains a mystery.

Thanks for the tip, I can definitely see the inspiration now!

But the pose in the visual is too awkward to be anything but funny ^^;;; Like they’re both supposed to be between the center guy’s legs right? With or without context it’s really hard to take it as dramatic lol

This pose looks like something that would be on a JoJo manga cover.

The rape of the Sabine is a very odd choice, it's based on a founding myth of Rome (as recounted by Roman themselves) where, IIRC, Rome didn't have enough woman, so they went into the neighboring village (The Sabine) and captured a bunch of woman as slave/bride. When the Sabine men tried to get them back, the women decided to stay with the Roman or something like that. Roman creation myth are weird.

So are the spacenoid going to abduct a bunch of terran or something?

I'm not all that familiar with the story of Phenex Hunting but I think it's about them trying to get back a women who was already "abducted". That's why there reaching for her hand.
