Enjoying the fanservice so far. My friend warns that it'd get pretty boring quite soon though.

Like what I've seen so far it's pretty funny and I think Yunna is an adorable air-head who'll always be entertaining. My only complaint would be Miss Tsun Tsun, I hope she gets toned down soon coz those character types get old real fast.

This show has quite a lot of heart to it and I’m really liking it so far. Yuuna is a likable, adorable ball of fun and I personally sense promise in the other girls. The fanservice is very nice to look at and whenever an episode of a series hints about a simple act such as a lead character going to school has me feeling pumped up, that’s a good sign that it has won me over. Very Happy

This is a completely fanservice-driven and deliberately silly show, as I expected, but for some reason it gives me so much nostalgia vibes that it even becomes a very watchable pleasure. It's like I'm again 17-old and I look again at those carefree shonen harems that were the most popular genre in those years.

It's got that Love Hina old fashion vibe, (Kogarashi getting airborne ala Keitaro) with a household of cute girls all beating the crap out of our main man and boy, oh boy did I miss this type of goofy fanservice/harem type anime. Keep it brainless and crazy and I'll be a happy mofo.

Not surprised at the show so far, it was billed as a sexy "naughty" comedy and it is that so far. It might swerve into the more thoughtful later (haven't seen the manga) but hopefully not too far. Dusk Maiden was just fine thanks. In case MrZ reads, I hope no one misunderstands me and that I have no problems with this sort of show but I predict it will be very predictable. Because of that, I didn't vote that it needed to be reviewed as I think all one needs to know to find if it is something they want to watch is in the description and first episode review. Thus, the reviewer will be tested on how they can keep from being repetitive unless the show treads unexpectedly unorthodox territory at some point. We'll see if reviewing is thus a punishment inflicted or not...

Although I like this series and did put it on my list of titles I'd be willing to do, I am honestly a little concerned myself about how quickly I'm going to run out of things to talk about concerning it. So far it doesn't much strike me as a discussion-worthy series.

But we'll see how things go. Series have surprised me on this before.

See, as a fanservice show Demon Lord doesn't appeal to me at all. The whole slave master dynamic is a bit ehhh and the fanservice itself doesn't appeal to me.

Yuuna is fun for what it is though. Goofy comedy, embarrassing pantyshots, a story that doesn't take itself too seriously or get in the way of said pantyshots, a likeable cast, a constant stream of unique scenarios for skirt flips and pratfalls, that's all I want.

It's nothing amazing but this is probably one of the best fanservice shows I've seen in a while. Definitely makes up for how underwhelming the fanservice in the last DxD season was.

This really is feeling like a mid to late 2000s harem series. Not that I mind. As much as I like a good ecchi series, I’m not a fan of the long winded fantasy plots and the more extreme ecchi. I mean, I think the fact that I found New Game’s fanservice scenes to be more enjoyable than any ecchi series from those two years says a lot (To be fair though, I think New Game has the ecchi genre tag on Crunchyroll).

I’ve been reading a bit of the manga, and the series seems to like focusing on one girl at a time. I kinda like how it balances the story and the lighter scenes. It’s chuckle worthy at best but it’s fun. Next episode is gonna be heavier on Chisato, and she has a big fanservicey scene to make up for her absence.

Speaking of which, I do kinda like how they’ve adapted the series. Pacing is a bit slow and the art (Particularly during the still frames centred around the aforementioned pratfalls and pantyshots) looks better in the manga. But they’ve actually added in a few fanservicey shots that weren’t in the manga which is a good way to pad out the episode while keeping its audience awake.

I personally thought this week could have received a B+, but it’s still a very nice episode. I’m not sure if there are any others who feel the same, but this series is the one I look forward to watching the most this season. It’s got more than making me feel nostalgic at this point and the overall sincerity adds, at least for me, a layer of coziness and enjoyableness that just makes it hit all the sweet spots for me. It’s been a highlight for me every Saturday and I’m thankful.

Probably the best episode yet, but I'm biased since Chisaki is my best girl. Considering where the manga's at, the 2 chapters per episode pacing is slow on paper. But they do their best to fill it out.

There's some good examples of how they've added fanservice in this episode. When Chisaki is being undressed, you get a slower buildup. You get everything you see in the manga, but the skirt comes off and there's an anime original pantyshot. They also spend more time showing off her curves and emphasising the embarrassment.

Speaking of panties, wow it's been a long time since I've seen a show so into them. I mean... it's kind of an outdated trope nowadays? Lighter otaku centric anime are so opposed to showing underwear it's almost comical (Love Live probably the most extreme example) while heavier shows just aren't interested in teasing. And of course the whole fascination with panties in Japan is a product of some stupid ultra conservative post war laws that are way more relaxed nowadays.

But yeah, anyone who watched trash like Rosario + Vampire and Ikkitousen will probably remember when pantyshots were 'killing anime' or whatever. I was totally in that group back then too but nowadays it's like... almost comforting? I'm not even ashamed to say I genuinely like Yuuna in a way that I didn't like those shows. I love watching it and talking about it every week and being a Shonen Jump series the manga is incredibly easy to just blast through.

Pretty much agree with all of this.

The show as a whole I think is probably a B but I think this episode had a good mix of the cozy and the ecchi that this show does pretty well.

Seeing Yuuna wear the red swimsuit this week had me like

Xebec surely knows their stuff and them being the choice of studio to handle this adaptation was a match made in heaven.

I've read just over 50 chapters of the manga, and I don't think it's a coincidence that the series has never once done a serious action oriented arc on that scale since (At least in the part I've read)

Unfortunately the slow pace of this adaptation (2 chapters an episode) makes it more annoying to sit through. (I don't even know why they're going so slow, do they plan on making more? Because I would be all for that).

Worse still, the one decent bit of fanservice in this episode was pretty heavily censored. I actually don't mind most of the censorship. Some shows get greedy and start censoring every 2nd pantyshot to the point where you can't help but question whether TV regulations actually required that. But Yuuna basically just covers up the full on nudity, so underwear shots aren't tampered with. Unfortunately... the one fanservice shot had heavy nudity! So yeah, off to the Blu-rays with that.

At least we've got four more guaranteed episodes of the fun ecchi stuff left at the very least, plus two more OVAs.
