We're never going to get the 3rd game state-side, are we?

I guess TBF we didn't get the original Cold Steel until roughly two years after it's Japanese release.

Don't give up hope. It would be weird and utterly wrong for XSEED to just drop localization of Cold Steel when the story's still incomplete for us. They're dedicated to bringing us more Legend of Heroes than ever.

I think it will be localized, it just one of those games that has ALOT of dialog too translate/dub. imo outside of Persona , its the best jrpg franchise out there as the moment.

My understanding from other forums is that XSEED tends to announce that they're localizing a project when they have a decent estimate of a release date. Announcing that they have the license too early isn't something they do.

In either case of announcing too early or after a chunk of localization is done, there'll always be fans asking when. At least if they have an idea of their release window, they have something a bit more solid to lean back on.

That said, I really, really, really hope XSEED get the license...

there's a reason why Xseed doesn't do that, because they did it once with Sky SC and complications happened during the translation process which is why it took so long

Absolutely agreed. Great characters, dialogues, interactions, fun social bonding/dating elements, good fights and fantastic attention to detail.

I'd say Yakuza is also right up there.
