How does one get to be an editor and not have run into any of those creators yet? he is either terrible at jokes or terrible at following the industry.

Dude is an idiot, there are plenty of great female mangaka, with some of them being responsible for some of the very best manga out there. You've got Clamp, Hiromu Arakwa, Rumiko Takahashi, Naoko Takeuchi, and plenty of others out there who have left massive legacies.

"She thought of the encounter in light of the recent news that Tokyo Medical University has lowered the entrance exam scores of female applicants since at least 2011."

You mean they've knocked down the scores of women or something else? The wording makes it a bit difficult to understand.

Yep, they lowered the score of all female participants, or just upped the male's, in order to have more men in the university.

I'm glad that more female creators are feeling empowered to come forward and share stories like this. It's time to name and shame.

What a stupid thing to say. I could name a ton of awesome and famous female mangaka artist, but I won't do it because everyone already know them and as a result understand that this guy just an idiot.

How does someone work in shonen/seinen manga and not know about Full Metal Alchemist?

And the score lowerers at Tokyo U are also sexist, but in a more malicious, awful way. Sexism is infuriating.

Does a guy really think negging works? Really? The stretch between idiot and arm-chair psychologist doesn't seem that far in this case. This type of (possible) manipulation is disgusting.
