Please make a new anime, so someone can bring the Light Novel in English.

I'd be happy to see additional anime as well... just drop the stupid mascot character from R.

I would rather have a Blu-ray remaster of the first 3 seasons over a new show tbh.

Same here. Also a rescue for the movies and OVAs in R1 would be nice, wonder why that's been held up.

Good god yes. Record of Lodoss War got saved over here in the US. I need slayers so badly in Blu-ray.. It's funny cos i emailed Funimation a while ago about Record of lodoss war on Blu-ray, and they said they're always looking at older Franchises.

If they were to do a new anime, I'd want a new cast and staff. I love the first three seasons, but I'd rather keep that nostalgia on disk where it belongs. Revolution-R only proved to me that the original staff wasn't really up to handle the darkest end of the Slayers tone spectrum, and considering the remaining 7 novels are all that dark or darker...

But a soft-reboot starting from volume 9 and continuing on to the new material, now that the anime industry as a whole knows how to adapt light novels, would be pretty neat.

I'd just like to see the light novels rescued by someone. Considering light novels are more popular here now than when Tokyo Pop released some of them in the past, it'd be nice to be able to get them again.

Seven Seas does a monthly survey for manga/light novels. I'd say ask them.

All I really remember from those later novels was a scene where spoiler[they get captured and tied up by bandits, and Gowry tells them that Lina has an STD in order to get them to leave her alone]. I can't say I thought it was "dark", but it was definitely a different tone than I was used to from the show.

I seem to recall someone from Funimation responding to a question about this with a statement that Funimation was "done with Slayers", but for the life of me I can't remember if it was in a written interview or on some podcast...

Yeah, I take their surveys. I guess this'd give me something to ask for other than Shomin Sample.

This is a big "if":I could see a new "Slayers" anime happening in Fall 2020. That would mark both the 30th anniversary of the 1st light novel getting published as well as the 25th anniversary of the original anime.

Having read them pretty recently, I can say it goes way darker than that. Threats escalate, lots of people die (and not just the one-off guest characters), and it even manages to get Lina down. That's about where the series wrapped up, so I'm curious where Kanzaka intends to go from there.
