Dang, I hope that he can take as much time that he needs in order to have a full recovery. Wishing him the best.

Could very well just be the fatigue and stress associated with having a popular serialized comic. Sometimes you just gotta take a step back and refresh.

Okay... two things:

  1. I like that management is letting him take an indefinite break. When you're operating from a capitalistic perspective, all that really matters is that the work gets done, rather than its quality. This is much better than forcing a return in a few weeks/months and potentially making things get ugly.
  2. Mental health as opposed to physical health is something I haven't seen a mangaka have problems with, but as has been mentioned, this could be due to the general overwork the industry/Japan as a whole inflicts on people.

I've never read Monster Musume, but I respect this guy, and I hope he gets better soon. Smile

Of course, the management would do this, that part of the editor job to make sure they ok. Then again, they usually only take care of the ones that make them money.

I don't remember exactly when, but he's had stress issues before. Hopefully, he gets better this time too.

Wow. I hope he gets much better.

In the meantime is there enough material for another anime season?

Take your time. Come at at 110%. The pressure that comes from creating greatness is not as simple to overcome as certain people think.

Get well soon, Crab-man. If he needs a break to unwind, I'm fine with that. Hopefully he comes back refreshed and ready to deliver more MonMusu greatness.
