I backed the $50 one, I wonder what the second season will cost.
Edit: New tiers are up, and It costs $100 for the bare-bones S1 + S2.

There is ONE unusually large pledge that makes the whole season 2 goal possible, even the project staff are cautiously optimistic about this since there is no guarantee whether this is a "ghost/unfulfillable pledge" (the ones that people manually up their pledge and once the goal is met, changes back to their original intended amount, happens to many projects' stretch goals) or not

As a backer that is intended to support both seasons in dub (already got the standard tier of the first season), I sincerely praying this is NOT the case.

^So, it could be a last ditch effort by a fan to ensure the second season is promised to be dubbed before the pledge period is over? That sounds plausible. Hope other people up their pledges before that backer pulls the ghost pledge out.

I have not consider that. I do hope that is not the case Sad , but if it isn't I am glad this entire anime series is going to get the English dub it deserves/needs. Anime smile Now I just have to make sure I get the second season on blueray. I already pledge 50 dollars to get the blue ray of the first season (plus an additional $60 for the artbook).

Congratulations!! This is very first Kickstarter I've ever backed (I finally found a way!!) and I'm sure the dub will do this series justice ^^

I thought this was strange too. I kept track of the amount pledged and I'm prety sure just two days ago they barely had over $150k and NOW suddenly they made it to $180? It's a bit fishy to say the least :/

^It's not unusual for Kickstarters to have last minute gains---people on the fence pledging and pledgers adding to their pledges in the final day. The only issue would be if a significant amount were pledged by a single person.

And the large amount that was pledged ($5000) would not put the current donation below the season two cutoff point were it retracted.

This is true, and a good thing.

We did have someone who placed bogus pledges for Aria and would put them in and take them away just to unlock tiers. It was frustrating, but for the most part, the anime community are good people, they're excited and passionate, and just want a high quality product.

I'm not even a romance guy, but I had to chip in because it'll be fun to see a show like this dubbed authentically.

Wow, this is pleasantly surprising. For a while, it was looking like Season 2 wasn't going to get funded, but glad to see it is. Not too interested in this show, but it's definitely something that deserves a high-quality authentic dub to stay true to the setting.
