He has a black jacket in Blood Spray of Ishikawa Goemon, right? I had the impression that was to differentiate him from Part IV taking the blue jacket, after Gravestone of Daisuke Jigen started that. So much for Takeshi Koike getting special jackets...?

Uh... I really don't care for the black jacket look, at least in those screens. Here's hoping it looks better in motion.

He has a black jacket early in that OVA, but it almost seems like part of a disguise - at the same time, Jigen is wearing a suit and not his hat. Later he grabs a blue-green jacket in the midst of making an escape, but he seems to go basically without a jacket for most of the feature. I don't know how much the jacket colors were an attempt to let Koike's Lupin have a distinct color design.

I don't remember liking Operation return the treasure when I watched it but I'm looking forward to this anyway.

The staff doesn’t inspire confidence, but I’ll wait and see.

I really liked Operation Return the Treasure, so on that front I'm hopeful this could be enjoyable. The screenshots don't look like anything impressive and I'm not digging the black jacket and that tie together, but that's exactly what I thought when we got the first look at Part 5, and that ended up having great visuals.

He's got the red jacket on in one of the two screen shots.

It looks like he and Jigen have switched outfits in the second shot. I don't know if that can be taken at face value, but who knows until it airs.

I was thinking this too, it's exactly their colour schemes but switched.

Regardless, I'm sooooo looking forward to this!! Operation Return the Treasure was one of my favorite specials from the 2000's. Would be great if this could mean the return of the annual TV specials, though I kinda doubt that ^^"

OT but I'd love if we got a Fujiko-centric special at some point.

The staff is kind eh but this can only be better than Part 5 and hey it´s TMS. Always nice to see that studio chugging along.

Part 5 was good though so im not sure why you'd make such a backhanded comment toward it.

I found Part 5 really hit or miss. I enjoyed the stuff they were doing with Lupin having to adapt to tech in the modern world, and I LOVED the throwbacks to the earlier shows, but I really, heavily disliked the handling of Fujiko and most of the Ami romance subplot.
