Oh no... That sales for Kase-san... It's a flop, isn't it? Goddamn it. And I've also heard that Yagate isn't doing well. 2018 might be the only year (after 2009) where many yuri franchise received anime adaptation and just about none of it make even so far. I'm quite worry for the future.

Yagate isn't doing poorly. It has a 4k estimate (its probably overestimated given how amazon biased it is but it should do at least 3k). Its not automatic hit status, no, but could definately be successful and lead to a potentional sequel if other things like the manga sales are significantly boosted.

Also disc sales aren't the end all. A lot of series lately only sell 500-2000 blu-rays and do okay elsewhere, like merch and the like. How did Kase do in terms of ticket sales?

Everything is shifting over to digital, physical sales are dying out in general. Anime physical copies in Japan are pretty expensive, so in the current setting I'd think 1000+ sales of the limited edition release for a niche series like Kase is pretty decent, maybe I'm wrong, but I really hope not. Kase and Yagate are both super adorable so I'm wishing them the best.

Kase didn't actually rank well enough for us ever to get box office numbers but it was a pretty limited release anyway. I'm not sure of many comparisons in terms of box office or disc sales. The only one I know from the top of my head is doukyuusei which had a slightly smaller limited release for its theatrical OVA but that comparision doesn't feel fair to me as it was very popular so I don't think it should be used as a guide. ...So I genuinely don't know what the committee expected of it or whether it was commercially successful. Maybe someone else has more data points for niche OVAs released theatrically.
