Nice. Saw the special today and it's definitely more of a teaser for the TV anime so the announcement didn't surprise me too much.

I hope they can keep the animation quality for the TV version tbh.

Haha, after what Bloom into You has shown, Makoto Kato definitely has the directing chops to potentially pull this off.

Considering this is another Fate universe TV series, will this mean Netflix is going to pick it up?

^ Crunchy streamed the special so i doubt they are gonna let Netflix pick up the TV anime. When it comes to the Fate franchise, Crunchy get the rights most of the times, Netflix usually only get them when they are involved in the production which does not seem to be the case for this one.

Daisuke Ono got the short straw. Laughing

Yeah, I just saw the news about Crunchyroll streaming it so that's cool.

I was about to call this for Netflix myself because it seems like they got the last couple of Fate spin off shows. But I'm glad to see Crunchyroll will be streaming this. Is this the first series Crunchyroll has licensed themselves post Funimation split? If it is, I'm glad the Funimation split so far doesn't seem to have a negative effect on Crunchyroll getting the big name shows for simulcasting.

I knew this would get it eventually

Practically everything fate related will get animated sooner or later.

Once Fate/stramge fake is finished it will be done.

This is an interesting spinoff, can't wait for a good adaptation of it. The little special already looked promising.

Grumpy adult Waver Velvet and his gang of weird children in various supernatural mystery-detective stories set in the Fate-universe, of course with some action in-between.

Lol I was just about to start reading the book for this.
Any idea on how much of the original material will be adapted?

Honestly I think the reason Netflix didn't pick up this and the cooking show is because neither have Fate in the title thus Netflix doesn't realize they're part of the same franchise.

I wouldn't be suprised if that was the case xD
Prbably also the reason why they don't have Kara no Kyoukai either even tho it's also a part of the Nasuverse x.x

Back then when Kara no Kyoukai was released Netflix had yet to be involved in Anime.
As long Netflix isn't invoved in the production as they did for Apocrypha and Extra, they shouldn't have the rights over Crunchy for TYPE-MOON-related stuff while they are airing, Netflix might get them later as they did for Unlimited Blade Works though.

Judging from the subtitle, Rail Zeppelin, book 4 to 5. Each cases/arcs are pretty self-contained. Dunno if they plan to cover the arcs after or before that. This episode kinda removes the needs to cover the first three books by showcasing what Flat and Svin can do.

One of the first. The first two can be seen in the 12/28/2018 ANN headline of "Crunchyroll to Simulcast Girly Air Force, Price of Smiles Anime". Of course, there is always the chance that Funi ends "The Case Files of Lord El-Melloi II", "Girly Air Force", and "Price of Smiles"
