R = Remote? Based on the graphics, it looks like it's going to be some sort of mobile game. A shame, but I hope it makes Atlas lots of moola... er.. yen... ah.

Though a racing title would be pretty funny and after those dancing games I wouldn't rule it out either. |

I'm so over the hype cycle. They can't just announce something anymore, they have to announce that they'll have an announcement three months from now.
I love Persona 5 but I won't get hype for this. I will only give my hype to the purest, most genuine announcements. |

My ideas:
Persona 5: Red, an enhanced version of Persona 5 that includes more stuff (I would love a chance to visit Yusuke's school. Seriously Atlus, don't make him go to another school and NOT let actually see the damn place. Missed opportunity). Persona 5: Retrial, a Phoenix Wright-like game where you have to gather evidence against Kamoshida et al and prove they're guilty, while defending your clients such as the members of the Phantom Thieves and your classmates. You are the defense, Sae Niijima is the prosecution. (Not gonna lie, the more I typed this, the better the idea actually sounds  )
Persona 5: Rumble/Royale, like P4Arena with P3 and P4 characters. Persona 5: Reunion, a possible sequel? Less likely, but you never know. It could totally be none of those and just be a damn mobile game...Gotta wait til March. |

Should've known the info we'd get with Dark Sun would just be "here's when you can get more info." And they like to make major announcements during the Super Lives, so I don't expect much in March.
As for P5 on Switch: On the one hand, Atlus execs have expressed interest in more multiplatform releases and P5 is already the first RPG they've released on more than one system simultaneously, even if they were part of the same family of systems instead of competing platforms. On the other hand, that was the same logic that made me pretty sure "untitled SMT HD project" would eventually be revealed for PS4 & Switch, only for it to still be a Switch exclusive after finally being confirmed as SMT V. So I'd like for P5R to be available on Switch, but I'm not going to be the least bit surprised if it isn't.
A P5 fighter would probably be P5U to keep in line with the official initials for the other fighters (P4U and P4U2). |

A new fighting game cross over is definitely what I want and I would love to see this one incorporate characters from the earlier Persona games as well. Toss in some SMT characters as well, anything can happen in a palace.
There's no reason why a P5 fighter would have to follow the same naming convention. I like the idea of Rumble though that might be a little too simple of a name on its own in Japan. Emerje |

Of course it doesn't have to, but it makes sense from a marketing perspective to keep their naming convention consistent, and post-P5 projects have kept to the template so far: P5A for the anime adaptation, P3D/P5D for the dancing games, and PQ2 for the latest dungeon crawler. |

Maybe they've leveled up from thieves to full grown pirates and the game is actually called Persona 5 Arrrrr

But seriously, it could be an expansion that is DLC for the PS3/4 versions. Cheaper than a full fledged re-release. Maybe spoiler[Akechi doesn't die and you play as him. Or Morgana gets Akechi's human body or something and tries to date Anne.  ]
I'd be down for a mini FES like sequel, but done better, though considering the game's end it would have to explain spoiler[getting our powers back, or would have to take place in between.] |

The color red is used prominently for the original game that would kind of be redudant.
There was never any gurantee they were going to bust out a 6th game at this juncture I mean it's been less than two years (depending on which region you're from) since the 5th came out after all.
Would be weird though considering Ryuji's persona is already a Pirate. |
