Oh hell yeah, didn't think it'd be so quick. Will definitely be attending the February 23rd Los Angeles premiere!

...March...14...Why can't they ever show these things on the weekends when people actually have time to drive to a screening? By the time I get off work and drive/speed to a screening, the movie would be half over already. I get that they can't have a wide release, but at least allow the people who are willing to pay the time to be able to drive to screening.

I honestly don't understand this either. I had to watch Liz and the Blue Bird on a pirate site cause of the same problem. Plus I also don't understand how they pick where to screen the films. I live in Florida and to bring up Liz again, there were only 2 theaters showing the film. they were both 30 minutes away from each other in the Tampa Bay area. So I guess screw everyone in the North or West?

It’ll probably be in theaters more than 2 days, going by the previous screening, so they will likely have showings on the weekend.

They almost always have one weekday showing, and one weekend showing, at the very least. Aniplex more often than not has two different weekday showings as well as a Saturday showing.
Anyway, I'm very glad that there are weekday showings, since I work all weekend every weekend, like roughly 50 million Americans do, and we would not be able to see any anime movies if they were only shown on weekends.

Listed on Fathom Events for that date. It might only be that date in most cases.

Sweet—I should actually be able to go. And as a new Fate convert, the timing’s kinda perfect.

Most theatrical anime releases don't make much money. They've become more common because they provide a lucrative opportunity to run new content during periods where attendance is low. During the weekend, your average anime film would have to compete for screens with much more popular Hollywood releases. Most locations wouldn't bother with anime. On a weekday, anime is more attractive because these event (one night/week-only) screenings will usually draw a larger crowd than the 1587th screening of Aquaman.
