Not really, as the manga has not much to compare with HSL at all and mostly is all positive survival series from the start.

Considering the director also worked on Shobitch, my answer to that is a big albeit cautious nope.

If you think that this should symbolize the presence of violence or yuri in the show, then this is an erroneous impression. Yes, there are a lot of very silly ecchi, but most of the time the plot at least tries to be "serious".
