It also further explores why most adventurers wouldn't dream of taking their gods with them into the dungeon.

That and gods arent allowed inside to begin with.

All I'm left with is the creeping suspicion that whatever does eventually make him cross the level 3 barrier will be a letdown in comparison.

I guess but to be fair spoiler[the event that does make Bell go level 3 in the LN was actually pretty satisfying in its own right which will be shown during season 2.]

Hestia's blue ribbon is practically a trademark, like Mickey Mouse's ears.

That said, I greatly prefer Hestia's movie costume over what she wears for the TV series and LNs. Much classier looking imo.

The author said that Bell in the movie is around the strength he is in the 11th LN even though it takes place between season one and two because he thought making sure the movie was good and entertaining in its own right was more important than sticking to the continuity of the LNs.

Sounds interesting! I'll be on the lookout for this film, but i doubt i'll get the chance until the bluray release.

Seems like the reviewer isn't reading the LNs, so i'll just say that the elements he hopes would be woven into the continuity should fit in quite nicely with the major events of Season 2.

From the article:

This is especially gratifying in the case of Lefiya, (who isn't even voiced in the original TV anime despite being a main character in Sword Oratoria).

I believe she was voiced in the OVA, however.

Nope. She only had a brief cameo but no lines. The only ones who had any lines from the Loki Familia in the OVA are Ais and Loki.

While I'd also like to see the movie get rectonned in, I won't be holding my breath on that. Unlike with SAO, there's not really a big enough gap in the main story's timeline to allow for the movie's events, and Omori himself has strongly implied that it's not going to be considered canonical.

And man, Sentai needs to stop dillydallying and announce something about when this is going to get shown in American theaters, like they said they would.

Sounds good, I'm looking forward to this. I have not been reading the LNs so it doesn't bother me if the movie fits perfectly into their continuity or not.

Apparently this was a dub-only item. At about 15:41 in the stream at HIDIVE, she says what sounds like "Uh?", and there is a voice credit at the end reading "Leyfia Verdis Kelley Peters", but no corresponding credit for the character in the Japanese voice cast listing.

Well that makes sense if its a dub only thing. In the Japanese version (didn't watch the dub version) Lefiya doesnt make any sound at all. The thing with the Kelley Peters credits makes sense too cos Sentai already cast her as Lefiya back when they first announced the dub of season1 in 2017 about a month or so before Sword Oratoria first aired while the dub of both the OVA and SO came out just last year.

Reporting back from having just seen the movie, that was a big fat lie. Hype of the Big Bad Boss aside, nothing Bell does is anything more than what he's done at level 2.

The movie was okay but nothing special.
