Really love the lonely, mysterious, cold atmosphere of the trailer. I hope the actual show will have a similar vibe!

It won't.

The actual show, going by the manga is a lot more comedic and light hearted. Though there are tense moments and drama.

The teaser here seems to be channelling Alfonso Curon's GRAVITY. But it's misleading.

All that being said. The manga is very good all things considered, and I'd enjoyed what I read. But it's not hard sci-fi.

Think of it as more akin to the old American 60's Lost-In-Space show, but more anime. Essentially a colourful cast of characters trying to find their way back home, while jumping to various interesting planets and trying to survive with scarce resources.

It's by the creator of Sket Dance which was the exact same way. I audibly laughed at the trailer for billing it as some kind of tense, dramatic series since I've read a bit of the manga. All part of the joke I guess

I read the manga, and disagree that the story is more comedy than drama. Comedy is an important element in the story, but the plot has a dramatic mystery at its core. Personally, I'd describe the story as balanced between its comic and dramatic elements. It's not Apollo 13, but it's not a gag manga, either.

It's excellent overall. Really excited to see it animated.

Really liked that trailer. Almost bought the first volume of the manga several times during a couple of the Rightstuf sales to check it out, but never quite got around to.

I'm interested either way since I really like space stuff but yeah if this is at least 2 cours to really dig in and get more expansive that'll make it way better.

This show getting announced also reminds me I need to go back and finish the old show Uninhabited Planet Survive that I only got to see some of.

If its a comedy/drama, the trailer throws the wrong vibe, since it certainly felt just a straight drama.
