It wouldn't be Sakuta without him wearing some strange outfit to a photoshoot. Anime hyper

I wonder what the symbolism is for it. Does it relate to Shoko, or to Mai?

The film must now be titled: Rascal Does Not Dream of Bunny Boy Kohai.

Mai is the titular "Bunny Girl Senpai" of the series and is often associated with bunny imagery, so I'm guessing Sakuta is wearing a bunny suit of his own to match that.
