I was working at NAF Atsugi and was able to take the train to attend the event on Saturday. It was fantastic, just the shear spectacle of it all. Were else can you go to see a massive display/booth for the Madoka Magica franchise.
I don't get in the long lines for the themed cafes, and/or the merchandise. For me the main draw is the large displays, large booths, stages, and dioramas. I haven't seen nothing like it before, though in the old days Otakon did have a few large displays. I seem to remember the sphere like one for Gaia, oh so long ago. The Fate franchise had multiple presences and massive displays/booths again this year. |

I was there all day on Saturday from 10:00am to 5:00pm! There's no bigger Anime convention in town! (I'm not including Comic Market or Wonderfest as those conventions are promoting a particular aspect of the culture and not anime in general).
