The boondocks is hands down the most well made comedy series to come out of the US. They seem like they have ran out of material though. The later episodes of season one get kinda bland.

Well sh**, I guess that means they won't be needing an "anime-style" storyboard artist, that they originally said they were hiring for..
 There goes my money spent on overnighting a portfolio. *sob*

I really love the Boondocks; and the news of Madhouse joining in on the animation front is quite joyous. Granted it'll mean a delay in Season 2; but great anime takes time to make (and yes, with Madhouse animating the show it should be considered somewhat of an anime).

I'm like a total Madhouse fiend... this is gonna be awesome! So... what's the current speculation as to when this actually comes out? Next year? ... ah, okay, I'll wait... OH! I just went to deepdiscountdvd.com and the DVDs it gonna be out THIS MONTH, YES! I sure hope they leave the mosaics on grandad's crotch though, I'm not sure if I wanna see that |

Super Ska Master: I wouldn't say the "most" well-made. The episodes which featured Huey's take on X-mas and Jazmine trying to buy a pony were mediocre. The comics have better writing, in that regard. But when it wants to be funny, it's got more
socially-relevant humour than The Simpsons and Family Guy. Jadress: Try Comic Con. Anyway, it's a shame it got pushed back until March, but at least Aaron's gonna return to the strip at the end of the year. I'm also wondering if they're ever going to show it in Japan. Does anyone who lives there know if the Chappelle show was broadcast there? |

I liked the work Madhouse did for Satoshi Kon's stuff. The Boondocks is probably the only American cartoon I watch anymore.

The Boondocks is already the best American made show currently on television imho, but throwing Madhouse into the mix should just be pure gold. Of course, it's not like the show didn't have exceptional animation already, but with Madhouse on board it can only go up from there. I simply can't wait for season 2.

The episodes did not air in the order they were made so it's hard to tell if thats true or not. Though personnally I liked all the episodes. |

Depends. If they're just having gruntwork animation outsourced to them, then no, because the primary production work is still being done in this country. Now if Madhouse has become one of the central production studios where the writing, directing, etc. that affect the show's creative direction are coming out of, then you might have a point. |

Depends on how you look at it. To me, that just sounds like a fancy way of saying "we're outsourcing our animation this season so it'll be the 'real deal' and people won't call us posers anymore."
A horrible thing for me to say, given that I really love the show, but all the same, that's how it sounds when I read it. |

But why would anyone who makes the show care? Why would Aaron care? Boondocks does have some of the better moments on television, and I especially love the over-the-top action scenes that comes up every so often. For something that looked very true-to-comic, I hope this doesn't ruin the vision. |

Um, they let the Samurai Champloo people work on it last time, at least to my knowledge... BTW, when are they gonna invite Aaron to more cons? They invited that MegaTokyo guy, after all...Of course, knowing Aaron, he probably doesn't like doing appearances. |
