Great news, didn't have doubt about it since the first season adapts the first arc.

This is among one of my favorite anime for Winter so I'm really happy Very Happy

Yes! Haven't even seen the finale yet, but I'm still excited. I've already ordered all available volumes, so the anime working as an advertisement for the manga was strong with this production Smile

Glad to see the extremely low sales of the discs didn't hurt its chances for a second season, although this was probably planned long before the season finished or when the discs went on sale. It seems pretty popular and is a great series, so hopefully it's profitable by other means.

I haven't watched this yet, but I'm glad to hear more and more shounen being given time for the animators to create quality anime rather than the standard weekly episode model of decades past. That practice just needs to (largely) go.

I still need to watch the finale but I've been enjoying The Promised Neverland and I'm glad to see it getting a second season. With so many shows alredy planned ahead for Noitamina, I was worried we wouldn't get a second season, especially as mentioned movie, the disc sales haven't been doing that well in Japan. I hope Aniplex will release an English dub soon.

Update after watching the finale: it was fan-FREAKING-tastic. Or to quote Uverworld, it was "FIRE."
It would have truly been a giant middle finger if there wasn't a second season coming.

Oh man. I just finished the s1 finale and it was phenomenal. TPN has catapulted to become my favorite series of the year so far, so I am positively GIDDY there'll be a second season. GodDAMN Clover Works hit it outta the park with this adaptation.

Can't wait for the spoiler[Goldy Pond] arc, i was a bit frustrated they didn't reach it in this cour but now that this sequel is announced i have no regret, they truly managed to sublimate the first arc.

Wasn't the Blu Ray volume 1 only released one week ago?

Happy with this news. I've waited until the finale of season 1 was done to find out if they've covered more than what I've read, and they didn't. If I don't get a wriggle on, season 2 will be mostly new content to me. Laughing

I'll wait until the 2nd season comes around to watch the 1st, till then I'll just read the manga as it comes out.

So how long's it gonna take ANN to put out an article about the upcoming Toonami broadcast?

Despite all my whinging about the first 10 episodes, have to agree; the last two, and especially the finale, were excellent, and actually got me looking forward to the next season. spoiler[The whole orphanage-from-hell suspense went on far too long--they could have cut this whole season down to a 2-hour movie without losing anything important--but now that's in the past and we can hopefully move on to something more interesting.] Also, that little insert-song is going to be stuck in my head for quite a while.

Edit: Is it just me, or does the quote-post button keep grabbing text from a completely different post?
