Nice to learn that this series is continuing. I have not finish watching the first season, but I enjoy what I saw. I wonder a bit what the story for the film is going to be about. I also imagine it's going to be in complete CG like the 2nd season. The same can be said for the third season. I would have prefer if they have stuck with 2D since the first season was in 2D, but if I can get use to watching GEMBA's and Digital Frontier's The Magnificent KOTOBUKI in CG then so I can get use to watching the rest of this series in CG.

It was weird at first, the CG in S2, but I got use to VERY quickly and the concert scenes GREATLY benefited from it...and almost half the show seemed to be concert scenes (actually, I wouldn't be surprised if most the show WAS concert scenes). S2 was a lot better than S1 so if you enjoy S1, You should very much enjoy 2. However, the story continues from the mobile game. So basically it's S1>Mobile game>S2>I assume movie>S3. So if you want to fully be in the loop and understand who all the characters that suddenly appear in S2 are, you should play the game

Really? I don't know how to feel about half the story being nothing but concerts, but I would have to wait and see how it was handle.

Concerning the characters that appear in the mobile game that would explain seeing the three characters I have never seen before next to Kasumi in the teaser trailer. So from what you type you are implying that the mobile game takes place between seasons 1 and 2, which is why it would be best if I play the game's story before watching season 2? I have not thought about given the game a try since I was not interested in playing a rhyme base game, but if that is the case I will see. However, I do not know if I can download any more games right now since my iphone is not a recent model, and the ipad I occasionally borrow from my mom also seems to be low on data. I am planning on getting a new phone later this year though. It's either that or I can just watch a playthough on youtube. I did see a couple of channels that uploaded a play through of the game.

Thanks for letting me know about this, Kougeru.

I'm glad to see there will be a continuation because the one thing the second season kept alluding to... guitarist Rocca wants a band, Raise The Ceiling needs a guitarist, hint, hint... not only didn't happen, producer Chu2 doesn't even seem to want to find a replacement.

The last scene of season shows two possibillties for plot advancement though it's weird that Poppin Party gets singled out for it... wait, all the other girl bands are either pro or semipro at this point. There are so many ways that this show is weird... but it's a good weird.

i for one prefer the full CG of 2nd season
1st, the animation quality stay the same from start to finish (obviously), the animation of 1st season sometime felt really weird (mouth and nose position usually)
2nd, it's better than going back and forth between 2D and CG in the live scenes
last but not least, i really like seeing the skirt's smooth fluttering
