And Funimation screwed Latin America and the rest of the world blocking other anime, despite they made a multilingual site. Shame on you!

I went back and checked Funimation’s blog, and apparently they won’t be airing this subbed on their website. Wow. Guess Spring still has the last few anime from the deal.

Definitely a surprise, I assumed it would be a Funimation-exclusive (since I thought they might possibly be on the production committee) but I guess CR went directly through TV Tokyo or something.

While I'm mostly going to stick with the dub on Funimation, its always a good thing for shows like this to hit multiple platforms and be available for as many people as possible.

Oh wow, that is a surprise. Especially considering all the marketing they did for the Japanese cast in addition to the English one.

I wonder if this is another one of those shows where maybe the license rights weren't what they thought they were. Despite being told shortly before the end of the partnership that were licensed and simuldubbed during the partnership are now only on Crunchyroll.

It's also conceivable that this is a straggler that has shared access between the companies. Considering how far in advance they were promoting it, I could easily see that being the case.

I'm very surprised by this news as I thought this would be a Funimation exclusive or maybe a show that's part of their Hulu deal. But I'm glad if this means more fans will be able to watch it.

Well color me surprised. Given how early Funimation announced this (relative to the series itself being announced), like you, I expected they had the rights to this completely sewn up, and were possibly on the production committee.

Sadly, except for the Nordic countries included, this doesn't give many more people access to this than if it were on Funimation alone. I would think if CR went through TV Tokyo, they would have had more territories (e.g., Latin America).

I had planned to subscribe to Funimation for this and while I
did want to follow the dub for nostalgia reasons (it was the version I chose to see in the theaters) I may just wait another season or two before subscribing to Funi and stick to the sub on Crunchyroll. Watching the interview with the new Japanese cast of Tohru, Yuki and Kyo actually did really endear me to them.

So who will stream it in Latin America?

Geez, Funimation can't even win when they win. It's cool that more people will be able to watch the show now (I'll be watching the dub, but still), but boy does it feel like Funimation's been getting the short end of the stick lately.

So happy! I thought I'd have to wait for the DVD/Blu-Ray to see it as I presumed it would be on Funimation's streaming only.

The title make my day (my evening basically). Latin America (basically Mexico because is my country) is not on the list. Disapointed!

They don't have the rights to show it in Latin America. They're not blocking you just to piss you off.

Will Crunchy only have the sub, or will the dub be available too???
I don't want to spend anyone 6+ dollars a month on funi if I don't have to.
