So purely on a technical level, it looks like they didn't actually toss out Pierre's old model completely; rather, they tweaked (probably via blendshapes) enough of the original face (his nose, his jaw, his cheekbones) to make it look just different enough without having to change the underlying skeleton or textures, so all the previous animations would play nice with the tweaked face. That's actually a pretty slick solution to what could've been a much bigger problem; kudos!

Interesting. I still feel bad for Pierre Taki for this mess he has gotten himself wrapped up in but I'm also really looking forward to this game this summer.
