Pretty darn flattering, to put it lightly, compared to Yoshikazu Yasuhiko's rendition.

sounds to me like Amano needs to actually educate himself about what the party is like

Ah yes the deep political thoughts of "it's good we have roads and cops"

As we know both of those things will magically vanish if the LDP ever loses power

Amano?

How about the rest of the general Japanese populace or even any constituency that lives under a democratically elected government?

Amano is a great artist but like any other constituent, he's only exposed to the surface level of politics that gets romanticized in the media every single day. He could choose to be a political analyst and come to a more informed opinion on the realities of office but he would rather spend his time focusing on his own talents rather than on his own representatives, which is the reality of the system.

If the majority of people actually bothered to educate themselves about political office and those who work in it, the system wouldn't be such a circus as it is now!

It's kind of a shame he even took the job. Not really people you want to be romanticizing. It's unfortunate to see how unaware Amano is, but it's also not surprising.
