I'm really looking forward to this. Negative comments aside I really hope this series gets fully adapted into anime.

The only idiots leaving negative comments about this anime are mostly the ones that know nothing about the manga this is based off of, they immediately go to of look a loli anime when in fact this is a straight up father daughter anime, they love each other like father and daughter not lover.

The source material for this one is light novel, not manga. Really shows the irony of your statement. I'd rather not comment regarding the last sentence of your post.

Really excited for this series, I've read a bit of the manga and am awaiting the light novels to collect but I hope the anime ends up being a full adaptations so I can watch it all the way through. Latina is so cute and the trailer showing all her various reactions makes me want to screenshot them all so I use them as reaction pics haha.

Indeed, the irony is so strong I spit out my coffee.
As Latina gets older, she develops feelings for Dale, and I think in the last LN volume, they get married. By that point, obviously, Latina is a grown woman, so the point still stands that this is not a loli anime, and I agree that some commenters here are quick to judgment. I also agree that for the LN volumes that will be covered, this anime will portray a father-daughter relationship. But damn, this was just so precisely contradictory that I couldn't help but chuckle.

They marry each other late in the novels. Even the fact they had a 'passionate night' is mentioned at least once. In the second to last volume Latina becomes a bit jealous of her twin sister and Dale, and Dale decides to make absolutely clear to Latina she's the only one. Said twin becomes quite furious at Dale the day after for making her sister ill when she was supposed to be recuperating. None of her blows can really hit Dale, but it was a funny illustration...

It sounds to me like this will be similar to......
Usagi Drop, in that it might be saved by the adaptation not completing the story. The anime for that one is heartfelt, but knowing the original source makes it creepy.

Nope. When this novel series was licensed, someone in the comments section immediately gave people a heads up that this was going to go exactly where you feared it might; It's NEVER been much of a secret. People, myself included, are just disappointed that this WASN'T a straightforward & sweet 'lonely man makes family with lonely little girl' story.

The romance aspect apparently happens far enough into the light novels that the anime adaptation will never get to that point. That does lead to the strange situation that the anime and light novels will be very different in how they can be described. It is a pity that the story has a Usagi Drop ending since the trailer for the anime looks cute.
