Actually, its not a second season. It's a spin-off series of some sort that will be unrelated to the first season and the original manga other than the characters.

I'm interested in that, the Mai Otome OVA, and I want to know more about this "Kiniro no Corda ~ primo passo~ TV"

Here's the website of it:

Just to note, that is a girl playing the violin. Inspite that, it's looks like a shoujo series.

A ha! This is the anime of the manga that Shoujo Beat previewed in the last issue. I suspected that was the case.

EDIT: The manga is called La Corda d'Oro. I couldn't remember the title since it's not even in English (it sounds French or Italian).

Here is the plot description of TRSI (for the manga, of course):

Quote:
Every few years, the prestigious Seiso Academy holds a prominent musical competition, and only the very best are allowed to participate. Though all are eligible to apply, only students from the music department actually make it to the competition... until now.

Kahoko is a normal student in the general education department with absolutely no musical skill, but all that changes when she catches a glimpse of an elusive fairy who lives on campus. The fairy grants Kahoko a magic violin, and before she knows it, she's nominated to participate in the school's music competition with five very attractive boys. Will she win love and fame, or will bitter rivalry rule the day?

Negima?! Haru OVA trailer looked like the fanservice quotient was increased relative to the first series imo. Asuna and Ayaka look different to me, but I'll get used to it. Unfortunately, Negima?! series 2 has less fanservice and is family-friendly according to wiki. Did Negima! have a problem with finding a target audience when it originally aired?

Kiniro no Corda ~primo passo~ TV might be interesting. But isn't it weird that we're rooting for a Villi Manilli variant?
