According to the ANN Encyclopedia, Yuri has gone on to work in anime, being a part of shows like Goblin Slayer, Terraformars Revenge, & currently Isekai Cheat Magician. At least, it's someone with the same exact kanji for his name...

But, yeah, I am really curious about what this will be about, and if it'll essentially retcon out Yagyu Ansatsuchou. FnK isn't one of my favorite Kurumada manga (I call it "Masami Kurumada's Fouth-Most-Well-Known Manga" for good reason), but it definitely has its strong moments, and I'll always defend how strong the Sacred Sword War Chapter is. Also, anyone who's a fan of tokusatsu should check out the 2007 live-action series, as it's easily the best take on the Yasha Chapter, even outdoing the original manga version.

EDIT: Upon further inspection of the promo image's text, this new manga has to be a prequel, as it mentions Kojiro, Ryoma, Kirikaze, & Kouu all by name, & spoiler[Kouu dies during the Yasha Chapter], so this new manga would have to predate the OG manga.

The weird thing is that Yagyū Ansatsuchō just suddently stopped with no explanation. There was a final chapter (which hasn't been put in a tankobon sadly) and the next was announced for the next Champion Red... and nothing. And there was never any explanation.

This is very sad because I loved Satoshi's artwork : it felt like a more moderne and dynimac version of Kurumada's art, and the story was shaping up nicely.

I noticed the Yuri Satoshi working in animation before but I have no idea if that is the same one or someone with the same name.

And yeah I also think this is prequels of sorts. Still I like Kojiro a lot, sure it's no Ring ni Kakero, Ring ni Kakero 2 or Saint Seiya, but very enjoyable. The anime was pretty cool too!

This sounds like it'll involve punching, which to me invites the question: Has Kuramada learned how to draw a punch colliding with its target in the past three decades?
