Yes, because it is good and entertaining

I believe this will get another season or part 2 because episode 12 had preview for next episode

I only started the series for the crazy doctor. Hanafusa is great. Can’t wait to see more of him in the second part.

Kazzy’s facial expressions are the best.

This is a split cour but it is remarkably fun so far. Let’s face it, it’s the best animated thing Netflix aired in July by a mile.

Normally I dislike the CGI but it’s clear they went the extra mile with the mocap so the combat feels more solid than the unabashed insanity of Baki. It’s like “this is all we really want from our cartoons at a base level”. Action. A lot of it.

Imagine how amusing it is to watch this and the manga-ka's other work How Heavy Are the Dumbbells You Lift? that's also running now. Gotta give him credit for his passion towards muscles! Cool

My husband was watching it earlier and it reaffirmed my opinion that CGI in anime looks like trash most of the time. I know some people like it, but I just can't. I wish Netflix would stop throwing it at everything.

I'm just going to keep blaming RWBY for this trend

I'm into episode 7 and so far I've enjoyed it, the 3D animation took some time to get used to but sometimes it works well, and the over the top fights are fun. Also, the spanish dub is really well done, and it's funny that Yamashita is voiced by the same actor who voices Yujiro Hanma from Baki.

Yeah, kind of a letdown no mention was made even thought at least two characters from KA have appeared on Hibiki's Bizarre Adventures, I mean, How Heavy Are the Dumbbells You Lift?

With this hunger Netflix has for bestial fights, how long until they do Hagure Idol Jigokuhen? It is the logical progression!

meguru chan deserves better than netflix;I mean it's by hiroki [expletive] endo, it would be sad for a netflix anime to be his first anime.

Hopefully it comes up in the second season, but all the surviving eliminated fighters get a pretty good chunk of screen time as spectators in the following rounds and make unlikely friendships.

Adam and Imai become total bros and its awesome.

Can Netflix just... stop? Please? CGI anime burns my eyes. I'm sorry, but no matter how much money is poured into an anime project, if it's CGI, it always looks like trash. And this show was literally unwatchable.

My issue with the show is that it actually winds up compressing & outright taking out a lot of character introductions and character building moments. As you can see I have read the manga.

Like since Kazuo's second son was mentioned that's a good example. The guy already appeared early in the manga, as a delinquent who tried to steal from his father due to being pressured by his gang got scared by Ohma & through a amusing chain of events Ohma beat up an entire gang army & scared the kid straight. It was funny but it was also sweet because it showed the growing father/son relationship between Kazuo & Ohma as well as Ohma's positive influence on his life. The anime wound up cutting all that out completely.

Plus a lot of the fighters had earlier appearances as well. Muteba Gizenga appeared on the ship when the fighters came in after the preliminaries & they completely excised the build-up of another fighter that had a slow build-up. There's also the festival that happened before the tournament started, that was a really fun exchange that had all the fighters & CEO's bouncing off one another and where even friendships even started.

All in all, I enjoy the show, its very fun but I can't help but find myself disappointed they cut out a lot of heart moments as a result.

This first batch of 12 episodes was a lot of fun, and I blew through them pretty quickly. Afterwards, I compared them to the manga, and it turns out that even though the show skipped a lot of stuff and even excised characters, it only covered about a third of the source material. I hope that means this adaptation is planned for three cours instead of two.
