Was this always meant to be a film? I could have sworn this was going to be a TV anime originally. Then I thought it became a film that would lead into a TV anime. Now all I'm seeing is that it's just a film. I know there's the live action show but I always differentiated that. Am I just remembering wrong?

Yeah, Black Fox's production history was rather funky but not in a necessarily bad way.
