That's about par for the course, I guess.

Still, I feel that the anime is still taking a better direction than whatever the Boruto manga is doing right now. The manga feels very much more like a Naruto ego-stroking manga than it is about Boruto, who for the most part had been sitting in the sidelines.

Meanwhile, the anime despite being mostly seasons of what many would consider 'filler', are actually developing their characters and their world.

But I feel like this discrepancy only dictates how directionless Boruto has been overall, with no direct identity of its own. Shoulda focused on Sarada, I always said.

$$$

Pretty much the only reason Boruto exists. 125 episodes and quite literally nothing has happened aside from a side character from the original series dying. By comparison episode 125 in Naruto was about to start the Gaara VS Kimimaro.

Either Boruto time travels or Naruto gets polymorphed into a kid.

Is he willing, or did Naruto fail his saving throw?

This is why the sequel to Naruto should have had all new characters. The writers are having a difficult time moving on to new things.

I can't be the only one who thinks this is pretty cool.

The question I have, and I am sure everyone is asking, will Boruto spoil young Naruto on who's his mother is. I am sure he is expecting Sakura. And how will Boruto react that his dad had the hots for Saruda's mom.

Guess it's finally time to watch Boruto again. I've never seen an anime reach 100 episodes yet see literally nothing happen. This arc sounds like it's the most interesting it's gonna be until it starts adapting the manga.

Being the hopeless naruhina trash that I am, I'm also eager to see how that will play out. Normally an interference of the past like that would drastically affect the present, but I don't see that happening here, seeing as they're openly planning on father and future son working together I'm sure they have a workaround

Second. I don’t keep up with Boruto, but I’d be excited to see this. I think it’d work better as a movie though.

There’s a million sentient humans in the world so yeah of course there are some people who share your opinions.

I'm just waiting until we reach the point that was shown at the beginning of the manga with teen Boruto facing off against Kiwami. Unfortunately we'll probably have to endure this series as well as another "Shippuden" series to get to that point.

Given how everyone was over the Uchiha's by the middle of part 2 not sure that would've exactly been widely enjoy by half the fandom......even if Sarada doesn't have an agenda or anything Razz

If you have all new characters then it's not exactly a sequel.

A sequel does not have to have the same characters as a previous entry. When I say sequel, I am mostly referring to the idea of a sequel to the world of Naruto rather than a sequel to the lives of the characters we have already seen in Naruto.
