This industry should figure out a better system for understudies.

We have a system where like... the vast majority of these plays run for only 1-2 weeks, but then you have these things - Touken Ranbu, Ensemble Stars, and maybe Prince of Tennis, and maybe one or two others that I don't know about, that do these 3+ month tours, but they still don't seem to have understudies set. The same thing happened recently (within the past year) with Ensemble Stars' Memory of Marionette play.

Also, in the middle of the tour, they're in these cities that aren't Tokyo or Osaka. They were in Kobe... at least half of these plays are Tokyo only, most that go outside Tokyo just go to Osaka or Nagoya (which is in between Tokyo and Osaka). Kobe gets very few. I know someone who lives up north of Tokyo who went to see Bungou Stray Dogs' stage play, even though she has no interest in the series, just because they went to her region and that rarely happens.
I was seeing tweets from people who were on the shinkansen to these performances when they heard they were cancelled...

It's sad for the actor, too, and I hope he recovers well.
