I'm not to sure what I think, I do love political anime but Koizumi doesn't seem to have had anything that would warrant interest, it's not like a huge scandal or a war Japan was really involved in. Koizumi had a few things about him that I liked (he didn't go for excessive change and his administartion wasn't as partisan as America's is now) and some things I didn't like (privatize that post sytsem and the visits to the gravesite) but overall I think I'd be interested in a political anime. I wouldn't mind seeing an anime version of his rather "friendly" visit with Bush. Maybe they'll add a little shounen ai! OK very bad mental picture!

Since the title is "Koizumi's True Colors" will this be more of a negative look at Koizumi's political affairs?

For me, I'd only be interested if they throw out the serious and go the over-the-top comic route. Koizumi Bo-bobo style would be awesome . . he does have the hair for it.

Now when anyone tries to criticize him for visiting the graves of war criminals, he can hit them with a big paper fan.

Does this mean we are finally going to see the anime version of George Dubya?

Its been a while since my last post in this forum.
This anime is interesting, i wonder how it will be...

Junichiro Koizumi is a really popular politician in Japan, and even if he lost some popularity due to the war in Iraq, his alliance with Bush and the troubles with China and South Korea... well, i do not live in Japan, but that is what i read in some magazines.

An anime about Bush will be really hillarius, i mean... the guy is like a cartoon character. Have you seen the jibjab animations about him and his goverment staff?

What about a anime with an apocaliptic battle with Koizumi, Bush and Blair against Castro, Bin Laden and Hugo Chavez... Bush can use a devil costume (acording to what Chavez said about him in the UN).

Shocked I'm not sure whether to laugh, cry, or throw up. Perhaps I'll try a combo. I definitely want to watch the first episode though...animated versions of any political figure just seem awesome.

I'm not sure what to say about this. An anime based on a political figure? I wonder if he'll be providing his own voice.

Nah, that'd make it a little too authentic. What we need is a website with a trailer.

As a foreigner living in Japan I can say Koizumi wasen't that bad of a PM. The Yaskuni issue was a big downer.

I have a postal account and I really can't say anything about the postal reform. It would be cool if the USPS had their own bank. Most of the private banks would see a decrease in accounts.

He really wants to have the Japanese speak "Decent" English. It is somewhat easier to speak and learn Japanese.

I can't wait to see what the Anime looks like.

The jibjab cartoons are hilarious. I applied for a job with them during the dot com boom.

This is not series. It was made as mini anime part inserted in the drama about Koizumi.

The title, if anyone don't understand, is called "Nobody Knows Junichiro Koizumi's True Colors", in English. I wonder what controversy or political affairs in Japan itself (since it's made from Gonzo) will come from this mini-anime?
