Now is the time to guess studios, and whether the anime can be a hit internationally (not sure of its potential for mainstream appeal)

We don't know much of what Bones is making right now besides My Hero Academia and Super Crooks for Netflix. Bones could be a real possibility.

Honestly, Studio MAPPA or BONES would be the best (in terms of animation), other studios would stylize it too much and MADHOUSE isn't the powerhouse studio they used to be.

Kinda shame that Act-Age is not getting an anime anytime soon. (Act-Age is older than Jujutsu Kaisen). We probably have to wait Act-Age anime adaptation next year.

I knew it was coming since they said they had an announcement. This will be GOLD! Let's hope David Productions or Bones animate it. They would do a good job Like Fire Force and MHA respectively |

I was about to start reading this when I saw the tweet about this.
Nowadays it seems as though any series that has been running in Weekly Shonen Jump for over a year has the potential to be a very entertaining watch/read. I mean, when you consider the sheer difficulty of getting a series into Jump in the first place and then keeping its popularity afloat for a year or more, it must have that little bit of something in it. I believe this was like a dark fantasy with curses and whatnot? That alone makes it interesting enough in my books, but being able to get an anime adaptation announcement before 100th chapter AND managing to stay alive in the den of monsters such as One Piece, Kimetsu and HeroAca.. I have to tip my hat to Akutabi-sensei. You made it ya crazy sonuva gun...you actually made it ^^[/i] |

Jujutsu Kaisen feels like Bleach, it isn't crazy it made it. Chainsaw Man is the crazy one that I still surprise it still doing great in Jump. Man, I can't wait for an anime for Chainsaw Man. It'll be crazy good |

About one in four Jump manga make it to the one-year mark. About two-thirds of those -- one in six of all Jump manga -- make it to the two-year mark. If you can do that, you're a pretty dang solid success. |

I agree with how Jujutsu Kaisen feels a lot like Bleach. It isn't as stylish, but does have the same feel. I wasn't impressed that much with the characters at first, but apparently it's been getting better.

So I've been really enjoying most shounen jump adaptation so far, especially Haikyuu, MHA, & Demon Slayer, kind of obsessed with these three.
I haven't read Jujutsu Kaisen, any chance it could be my next Jump adaptation obsession? |

Here's hoping they find a studio that can adapt the manga's art-style.
Cause the manga has a rather distinct dirty & gritty style that gives the series a lot of its charm. |

While a series getting cancelled and the circumstances regarding such a cancellation can be a bummer to the fans, I also look at this way: If a series makes it at least 10-12 manga vol.(excluding those tankoubon-exclusive chapters), then at least the story got fleshed out a bit. Some of the WSJ series that have gotten cancelled might not even have 5 vol. worth of material. Also, depending on the reception of said 10-12 vol. series, there might be enough success and material to do an anime version that does a complete telling with little or no fillers outside of the almost guaranteed recap epi. |
