I just started playing this series a few weeks ago (currently on Chapter 6 of the first game), and all I can say is, "How the HECK did I miss such a great turn-based JRPG."

Here's hoping they'll announce the fourth game soon.

First game in the cold steel arc or first game in the trails series?

I feel bad thinking about all the Switch players who might pick this up thinking you can just jump on from this point.

I mean technically you can but I feel like you miss a lot, and it's such a great series of games.

Here's hoping NISA manages to do a better job with it than they did Ys 8
One of like two games that could actually crash on the switch

but also if they were gonna make a bad/broken port they really should've gone for the PC again - while Switch might have a higher "potential" audience I'd expect it to get less sales in the long run cause steam/PC is where the actual game's base is cause its where the rest of the (translated) games are and where probably 80% of english fans actually played most of the games.
