I have a feeling this will lead to a full-blown Doraemon ride. If that's the case, so be it. I personally think he would have been a much better fit for Disney's theme parks myself, as he's already considered the Mickey Mouse of Japan.

But if Universal is the one doing the attraction, I have no problem with it. Still, it stinks we have no anime attractions at our American theme parks. Why are we stuck with the Minions while Japan gets a Dragon Ball Z attraction?

Now here's the kind of crossover I never would've imagined in a million years.

The cost of licensing the anime characters versus how many customers would likely be familiar with them would probably still be too great even if anime is more mainstream now. But we are getting the Nintendo park which so we are getting some rides with Japanese properties.

That's true. It seems that Pokémon, Sonic, and Mario are the only Japanese properties kids care about. And at least DBZ had a Macy's float.
