Wait, this is kind of confusing; as I understand it the parts following it actually have been coming out, and yet this part took a long time to finish?
I must admit I'm very confused by this decision and how it will impact the "finished version" of the comic. I hope the series still is heavy on continuity and that hasn't been lessened due to it having to release out of order. ):

Even crazier is that in the same span of time, the XY, ORAS, and SM chapters came and went.

The series became a lot more anthology-based after finishing up the Gen III stuff. After that, the only attempts at branching out were the Johto Daycare Couple that sent Gold to rescue Jasmine giving Diamond an egg for Gen IV, Looker appearing in every Gen per usual, and Blue having a supporting role in the XY arc. That's kinda my main gripe with Adventures at the moment; seeing the other Pokedex Holders interact with each other felt a lot more organic and added appeal to the manga that the games (the ones with Red notwithstanding) have never replicated.

To add to that. I wish it stayed continuous under one manga line: Pokemon Special. It got annoying when they split it up. But I guess overall. The manga world is caught up to the latest game releases?
