It's understandable how certain events and activities are being cancelled due to the coronavirus which the American wannabe dictator (Trump) is now calling a hoax.

Care to provide a source for your claim? The closest I've seen is him retweeting a video of a doctor mentioning how many more people have died of the flu.

Where's Trump calling the virus a hoax? Or were you claiming JohnRhogan is stupid for thinking Trump claimed the virus itself is a hoax?

Trump called out the media for lying about his response to the virus. I haven't seen him calling the virus a hoax. Get your facts straight please.

......His comments from a rally he held early in that week were literally transcribed in that link.

Quote:
DONALD TRUMP (PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES): Politicizing the coronavirus.

...

You say how is President Trump doing? They go, "Oh, not good, not good." They have no clue. They don't have any clue. They can't even count their votes in Iowa. They can't even count.

...

One of my people came up to me and said, "Mr. President, they tried to beat you on Russia, Russia, Russia. That didn't work out too well." They couldn't do it. They tried the impeachment hoax. They tried it over and over. They have been doing it since you got in. It's all turning. They lost. It's all turning. Think of it. Think of it. And this is their new hoax.

The fact that the person being quoted is repeating themselves and telling the crowd who he's speaking to about a conversation that never happened should tell you whose speaking.

He's also called out democrats for criticizing his response to the virus and you want to know why he's being criticized for his response to the virus?

Because he's proposing or has introduced cuts to the CDC

https://markets.businessinsider.com/news/stocks/trump-defends-cuts-cdc-budget-federal-government-hire-doctors-coronavirus-2020-2-1028946602

To say nothing of him tapping Mike Pence to lead a taskforce to address the outbreak in the US....the same Mike Pence who as the Governor of Indiana oversaw an HIV outbreak.

I have my facts straight but by all means google the "Trump Coronavirus Hoax" and read every news link you find on the story hell watch the video from the rally he held where he said that. And after that check his comments where he mentions no one in the U.S. had (yet) died as a result of the virus. And then read the story of the first person in Washington state to die as a result of the virus.

The GDC is more industry-sided than other cons. The only major thing that happened last year was Stadia and championing it as the future of gaming, and well, we know how that ended. Not much of a loss.

Well besides the loss of tourism revenue for San Francisco. And the loss of advertising money for the GDC. And the loss of potential exposure for indie devs and studios. And the loss of educational and networking possibilities. And the loss of opportunities for those in the industry to perform talks and roundtables. And...

Good. Maybe it'll inspire them to clean up the used needles, human feces and do something productive about the homeless population. Then again, why go anywhere when the city has a law where they won't prosecute those who cause less than $1K in damage...so if you need something, just break a car window and take it.

Yes they were. and that is not what he said. Did you even check the context?

Irrelevant. You guys claimed that he believes the virus itself to be a hoax. Switching to critiquing his response to the virus does nothing to justify your lying about his position.

And what does that have to do with anything? Are you seriously complaining that Trump didn't list everyone that's going to die from the virus as if he can see the future or something?

The context is irrelevant, what he said was stupid in addition to being a lie. But since you want to mention that it goes back to something I said previously

If he was quoting somebody (who apparently is supposed to be in his cabinet) who said that it was his place to tell that person who he was allegedly quoting it's not a hoax it was legitimately serious problem as of course being in the position he's he would have greater or equal knowledge on the virus than this guy who supposedly said this. If of course that conversation never happened then of course it re-establishes a well known point about Trump which is the fact that he's a damned liar.

Mavado wrote:

No one claimed anything though. Dude literally said the Coronavirus was a hoax created by democrats alongside the Russian Collusion and the Mueller Probe, the same guy saying this is the same galaxy brain who once said he saw muslims cheering the fall of the towers and on numerous occasions has said Democrats support criminals......all the while he's pardoning convicted felons and war criminals because "they weren't given a fair shake".

He believes everything that comes out of his mouth even when most of the BS he says is objectively wrong. No one has to take his phrases out of some perceived context.

Mavado wrote:

What it really means is that despite you wanting proof of his idiocy and even after being given factual proof of his idiocy, you're one of those people who finds the truth hard to swallow because it doesn't play to your specific tastes......even though I specifically found that link which was taken from a fox news broadcast which played the clip which once again had his comments transcribed specifically for that reason.

Mavado wrote:

Because he got on national TV and said that a virus which even at the time he made those remarks had already killed numerous people in other countries, hadn't killed anybody in the U.S......which made zero sense for him to announce at the time. And now looks incredibly stupid in hindsight.

If you couldn't see the problem in that along with him calling the virus a hoax created by the democrats you either can't read very well or you have some other problem going neither of which I could care about. But here's a protiip going back to one of my previous point the next time you want proof of something someone said or did on the internet search it up yourself instead of wanting people to do it for you and then when proof is presented deny it. You'll save the people you're asking to undertake this pointless endeavor some time and you'll make it look less obvious like you're trying to lead someone into a "GOTCHA" moment that of course fails.

Having said all that though you didn't seem to have any argument against his CDC cuts or appointing people of dubious backgrounds to oversee efforts to combat the virus I wonder why?

Also since we're on this subject what do you think of his son saying that democrats want millions to die from the virus? You gonna argue that was taken out of context too?

A reminder that this thread is about the postponement of a game developers' conference.

It isn't about Donald Trump.
