I'm 120 hours in to a Japanese copy of P5R I borrowed from a friend before this whole mess started. It's an all-around improvement on the base game, although it takes a while to get to the totally new stuff. It's also much easier to get ludicrously overpowered without grinding if you play your cards right.

Pretty excited to hear Xenoblade's release is so close. If all goes well, I'll be able to play it after Wonderful 101.

-Xenoblade: Good times; maybe the DLC will tie into Xenoblade 2

-2K: Neat, though of course they decided to require mandatory downloads to play them because they're too stingy to just use higher capacity carts

-Smash: My money's on Ribbon Girl, Min Min, or Twintelle

-Bravely Default 2: It's just pleasant

-Gamestop: They can go to hell.

-Sega: Huh.

The Direct was pretty good, no major announcements but I believe Nintendo is saving those for June. Even if this year we won't have a physical E3 they still have a Direct in June.
- Xenoblade looks amazing, they really improved the graphics. It would be awesome if more games from the GC and N64 get some remasters, not just some straight ports like they do with Wii U titles.
- I was surprised to see ARMS as the new franchise with a fighter in Smash. Springman is the obvious choice, and if they don't choose him because he's already present as an Assist Trophy then I would choose Min Min as a character, though some people are speculating that maybe Nintendo is developing a sequel and maybe we'll get a Roy from FE situation. Either way, at least we'll get some good music since ARMS' soundtrack is really good.

Really? GameStop's business practices have been that bad? I never knew! And that's where I usually buy all my games and the occasional stuffed Pokemon doll and figurine.

It'll be interesting to see how it compares to the PS4 version, performance-wise, and if there will be anything unique added to it.

It's already confirmed to include 3 new "Ideal Voices" (Kana Hanazawa, Ayana Taketatsu, and Marina Inoue) on top of all the DLC from the PS4 version.

Maybe the next time Nintendo makes a system they'll use physical media that by default has the same amount of space for games that Microsoft and Sony has in addition to a bigger storage space for the system...........Something that Nintendo has struggled with since the N64.

They've done some pretty dumb things over their existence but this was beyond stupid and unfortunately they're not the only idiots trying to subject their employees and consumers to a viral outbreak.

It may not have been great timing, but I’m actually really interested in trying Good Job; it’s like the video game version of those Portal Cave Johnson videos! Laughing And I could use some ridiculous levity in my games; sadly, I find Animal Crossing to be a bit too directionless for me, so I’m really more of a Harvest Moon/Story of Seasons gal.

Also I’m super stoked for Xenoblade Chronicles! I own the original Wii version but never finished it; despite the beautiful art style, I found the low resolution hard to read, and setting up a PC rom version with updated graphics mods was a bit of a cumbersome setup. Hopefully third time’s the charm, because I really adored everything about this game in spite of the low fidelity graphics.

I'm sort of curious about Animal Crossing since it's having a popularity surge on top of already being a pretty big thing, but from the outside it's hard to see the appeal. It sort of looks like a JRPG without the plot and battles, focusing entirely on minigames, sidequests, interior decorating, collecting stuff, and so on. The problem being that those sorts of sub-games aren't usually all that interesting except as a diversion from a big important challenge of some kind. But maybe it's the predecessor to mobile games, where the big important challenge is real life...

In other news, it seems I still haven't gotten over the weirdness of there being a game series called "Bravely Default." That's like a recursive translation output or something.

Are you playing Animal Crossing, or are you biding your time for the release of Persona 5 Royal or Final Fantasy VII Remake?

I’m concerned about possibly not getting my pre-order of FF7R, if Square Enix’s warehouse ends up being on lockdown next month. In that case, I’d either have to double-dip for digital or just wait. I know, small potatoes to what other folks are going through right now.

Yeah, I was kinda disappointed with Bubble Bobble 4 too. I mean... I didn't think it was BAD, but when it's got nothing on even the arcade original, well...

Then again, the arcade original is fantastic, even today. And at least I can play THAT on my PS4 whenever I want to.

Am I biding time until P5R? Yes. I finished a game Sunday evening and debated whether to even start a different one since none of my backlog could be finished before my copy of P5R arrives.
