This made me wonder what happened to the other company operating in the same bracket, Ponycan USA, their latest twitter post is from last year, the latest news post on their US site is from 2 years ago, and if I remember correctly their latest release is also from 2 years ago...

Sadly so, since their latest posts a while back were mostly about the singers there and anything from their anime front is basically shelved, but yeah, PonyCan USA isn't what it used to be anymore. But I assume they'll still be around the con circuit. (Since I remember they still had a booth at AX 2019, so...yeah...)

Sadly so

I think you meant to say happily so. Ponycan USA is the worst anime distributor ever.

Given FunimationFilms distributed the movie in theaters, I really hope Funi will stream the movie after this comes out. It didn't play in any theaters near me, so I really want to see it, but not really wanting to blindly pay $40 for a plain bluray with basically no extras (only times I've done that was for the Heaven's Feel movies, which was worth it). But yea, I hope Aniplex doesn't stay greedy and keep it bluray exclusive.

I've always thought that title belonged to Bandai Visual USA.

It would be happier if they weren't holding on to the licenses to some great stuff I would love to own.

Well, obvisouly being the next Aniplex didn't work out for them. The only thing I'll give them credit for is bringing out Yuki Yuna is a Hero and that's much it. (RIP dreams of S2 fo a US home video release though. Especially for the dub cast of S1.)

I did wonder about that since there is a Sound Euphonium movie for pre-order on Right Stuf but they have Shout Factory listed as the publisher, instead of Pony Canyon like the rest of it.

Eleven Arts licensed that movie. Shout! Factory is their home video partner.
