Ah, the good old "What? April Fools? We never said that!". I still remember how they announced Working's 2nd season on an April 1st, then confirmed it was real on April 2nd.

I think it's probably just as likely they really did intend it as an April Fools joke, then the fan reaction was good enough they decided "oh, maybe we should actually do that"
