Rest in peace. Paul was really going through hell for a long time. The voice work in the original RE2 will always hold a special place in my heart.

I should note, the Facebook post of his that you have linked is -super- personal and I'm not sure why it's included?

A damn shame Paul passed away so young he was a vastly underrated voice actor and acting talent in general loved his turn in X-Men the animated series as Quicksilver and especially as Arkon he was a talented performer who deserved more acting work rest in peace you fine gentlemen.

Note: I'm not an editor, I was not involved in the decision to include this information in the news article, or in any way involved with the news article at all. My involvement with ANN editorial and news is to help craft policy, provide after-the-fact feedback, etc.

Although it's personal, it was public. Taking a look at the post, it was clearly intended for a public audience. He was sharing something very personal with his public audience and asking them for help.

While I understand that some people may be uncomfortable with it, I think it's important for people to understand his life, particularly what lead up to his death. It's also important in the grander scale of things for people to know that these things happen around them regularly. If we keep covering up problems like this, people will not fully grasp how common they are.

On the other hand, if we were to learn this information though private channels, we would not "leak" it.

Oh yeah, no, I agree with you on all points. I think my issue is that the FB post(which I see has been removed from the article) was from February 14 and chronicled his battle with OCD and complications he suffered from attempted treatments for it. It's a sad read but also full of hopeful wishes he had for his future.
