This is one of the projects, I'm fine with them trying to do their own thing.
The characters and the plot were not heavily tied together in the original + there are already re-imaginations like the 1994 OVAs, Crowds or the 2013 japanese live action movie.

So I'm looking forward with what this western team will come up with Smile

This can not be worse than the live action film Japan did several years back. Their is just no way.

Ugh! I cannot wait to see a morose Gatchaman adaption! I will stick with Blu Ray Science Ninja Team Gatchaman! If There were a Anime Sequel ending the series on a happy note...Ken And Jun Married with young Ninja wanna bes, like Mazinger Z infinity I’m in. If it 1/2 as great as Infinity T-Force I’d rush to see it!

Make it a parody where 7-Zark-7 is the main villain like Scooby Doo did with Scrappy
